I am running Lightroom 5.7.1 on a 64 bit version of Win 7 Professional. I purchased it in the box when v.5 came out and have installed all the updates. This morning, after importing a bunch of raws from a card reader, I attempted to open the develope module. I was met with a message telling me it required me to renew my membership in order for the module to work again. What membership would this be and how is it after over a year with LR 5 have I suddenly joined something that requires membership? Or, is this some kind of virus attacking Adobe products?
You have installed Lightroom from the creative cloud application manager. It's the same program but is licensed differently. You will have to uninstall Lightroom and then download and install from the following website:
Doing this will have no impact on your catalog or your images. Just uninstall/reinstall, and then continue as usual.
