    Design Question

    Sandee Cohen Adobe Community Professional

This isn't a tools question, but a design one.

For reasons too complex to go into, I recently designed my pages to have running headers with the following elements:

      Page #: A Head

This was for both rector and verso pages.

My editor didn't like the use of the word "Page" before the number. He wondered if anyone had ever done it.

I agreed that I'd never seen it used, but wondered how awful it actually is. Especially since it avoided confusions with the information that would be in the A Head that followed.

Has anyone EVER used the word. Please don't tell me that it's not usually done. I knew that before I designed the interior pages.

However, I was able to drop the word by designing the # as reversed out in a rectangle followed by the running header.
