Deploying AMS via AWS. Can't login as admin under *amazonaws.com/ams_adminConsole.htm. Tried localhost, http://localhost, http://localhost:1111, public DNS. Nothing works.

AMI: ams-5.0.6r9003-centos-6.3-ami-2014-09-30_19-14-978a7296-c806-4f52-9a7e-5a0d5a0b1166-ami-a4388ecc.2

Followed the instructions here: AMS 5.0.6 on AWS: Cannot log in to Administration Console and https://helpx.adobe.com/pdf/adobemediaserver_marketplace_amazonec2.pdf‌

Stopped server and adminserver. Modified admin password. Checked User.xml for changed salted pass. Started server and adminserver.

curl "http://localhost:1111/admin/ping?auser=admin&apswd=password" returns connection success.

telnet [Public IP] 1111 connects successfully, so I'm not sure it's a firewall issue.

Hi Christopher

Welcome to Adobe Forums.

Major reasons that may lead to the above said issue are:

Wrong Credentials

Block Port 1111

Server Name.

I would appreciate if you could check your ams.ini file and confirm if the following field is set to port 1111

SERVER.ADMINSERVER_HOSTPORT = :1111

Also ensure that the firewall on your server machine allows traffic on port 1111.

Regards,

Diana John

Yes, I changed the ams.ini to SERVER.ADMINSERVER_HOSTPORT = :1111 (restarted server) and added a Custom TCP rule to my AWS instance to allow inbound on 1111. The credentials seem correct since ping works. Can you review my AMI or AWS instance if I PM you details?
