March 31 and NO REPLY from an ADOBE expert.
I spent the last hour today with the same problem in Creative Suite Premium. I got the run around on the website. I got the run around on the CHAT LINE and the good folks from Adobe INDIA gave me a link to this forum for help.
AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM ADOBE!!
i have the same problem.... using lightroom 6
Hi, Do you have a MAC??
I have the problem with Lightroom 6 on osx 10.10.3 (14D136)
i solved the issue on my mac by
- running in the terminal: sudo chmod -R 777 /Library/Application\ Support/Adobe
- removing and installing the "adobe application manager" again from Get Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop App & Adobe Application Manager
see other thread as well: Error 16 for Photoshop CC2014 and Lightroom
Yes, that is the solution. Sorry, I got tied up with a business siuation,
took me too long to reply.
Not sure who it was that emailed me from Adobe, Gene? But it resolved it
Thanks for letting me know that it worked for you too!.
Adobe's customer service is THE WORST AFTER SALES (LACK OF) SERVICE ON THIS PLANET , and if I ever reach a human that I can even remotely understand I am just going to scream that into the phone until their ears bleed.
I'm sick to my stomach at Adobe, a company I once admired , has become the worst post sales service company I have ever witnessed.
I helped GE pioneer call centers in Bangalore India and other places in the early 2000's within 6 months the BGGEST lesson learned was , you need reps on the other end TO SPEAK UNDERSTANDABLE ENGLISH.
Adobe has most certainly not learned that lesson and I'm stunned that Adobe stock has stay at 79+ since May, personally I see bad things ahead for the monolith that can't get out of it's own way and treats customers on older products like they were dirt. Bye Be Adobe People who want a Suite that will make Photoshop look like a kids toy go to http://www.on1.com Look at Perfect Photo Suite Pro version 9 (This company could teach Adobe a LOT about customer service, older version are made FREE) They even provide their tools as plugins to PhotoShop, for things that Photoshop could never do. I've been a professional photographer for over 40 years , best software I've ever used.
This is my opinion and my opinion only. I'm just disgusted with Adobe and can't take their attitude any longer. "Oh wait you're not on our latest version, sorry I'll send you a link to our forums, you'll have to get you help from there"
Finally Bye Bye Adobe.
