You can convert all URLs to hyperlinks in a document with a function: Window > Interactive > Hyperlinks (this opens the hyperlinks panel) From the flyout of panel > Convert URLs to Hyperlinks. There you can select all URLs in document to automatically be converted to hyperlinks, or go to individual URLs and apply. Then export.
That works within the document itself. But I am looking to have the URLS in embedded .pdfs convert to hyperlinks as well.
I produce a magazine with ads. The ads come to us from a variety of sources as high print quality .pdfs which we place in our InDesign document. The advertisers want their URLS to be active when I post a virtual version of the our magazine online. I know I can go through the whole magazine and individually find each URL within the .pdfs and hyperlink them. I was hoping for a way to automate that.
