Lightroom has capability built-in to convert to DNG, but only for cameras for which there is support for the original raw images. Until such time as there is an update or upgrade that incorporates your camera, the DNG converter is your best option. It does take a little time to convert them to DNG. But you can use the DNG converter as your downloading software and convert the files as they are being transferred to your hard drive. At least you can convert right now. There are a couple of cameras that aren't supported even for DNG conversion.
Very good - just wanted to confirm. Thanks.
Buy Downloader Pro.
I have been using this with LR for a long time now.You can incorporate the Adobe DNG converter into the download process. I initially bought Downloader Pro because it has an extremely flexible file renaming facility, but besides renaming files it can integrate GPS information into images from my handheld GPS receiver, hand off the files to the Adobe DNG converter and then place the resulting DNG files into LR's Auto Import folder, making the entire process automatic.
