We do not require you to purchase a subscription to delete documents. We only require a subscription to our premium services and features:
- Export PDF which allows you to convert a PDF to an Office format
- PDF Pack which allows you to convert Office to PDF, and also includes Export PDF, as well as many other services like Send for Signature available on the Desktop and Web.
- Edit PDF and Organize Pages, which allow you to modify a PDF file, and requires a subscription to Acrobat DC Pro, which also includes access to our Desktop Acrobat Pro app and all of our individual services.
Can you tell me exactly what you tried to do, and exactly what you saw when you did it?

As Dennis mentioned above, you do not need to purchase a subscription for basic functionality (e.g. deleting/renaming/moving/duplicating files, viewing PDF documents, searching, sharing files, printing).

I HATE the Adobe Reader DC. I want my old Adobe back. Why is it when something is working just fine, they 'IMPROVE' it. (I do have a paid subscription that I use for the Export features)
Did you ever figure out how to get your old version back? I get so frustrated with the DC. All I want is to be able to read my downloaded pdf patterns.
