Install Adobe Flash Player quit unexpectedly

OS X Yosemite Version 10.10.2 I can not update Flash.  After downloading the install package I immediately receive the Above message.  I have scoured the internet forums looking for a solution and nothing has worked including uninstalling Flash and performing a clean install.  I've done multiple restarts and nothing has worked.  Please advise.

Thanks, that worked... too bad the offline installer isn't available online, it would have saved us all a lot of time.  Clearly there is an issue.
