1. After opening a file how can I view the name of the file and the total page number? The number that appears in the bottom only shows the current page. Ex: if I have a 44 page document and I'm viewing page 2, it only shows "2" Instead of "2/44".
Once you open a PDF document, you won't see the document name anywhere.
To view the total page number, please tap the page number indicator. The Go to Page dialog shows the total page number.
The older version of the iOS app used to show the total page number, e.g. "10 / 303". However, many users said the the old page number indicator was too big or distracting for reading or presentation.
2. How can I set "Local files" by default instead of "Recent files"?
There is no option to set any of the sources (Recent, Local, Document Cloud, Creative Cloud, and Outbox) by default.
All these changes are new in Acrobat DC. Please feel free to provide us feedback.
Thank you for your inquiry.
