Why does Acrobat DC Mobile Reader show Encrypted, Secure Content without Authorization [Android]

I have the new Acrobat DC Reader version installed on my Android phone.  I share password encrypted sensitive documents using Google Drive between my main computer and my phone. Some I copy to my device. If you select the information ("i" with a circle around it) for an encrypted file kept on the mobile device, Google Drive shows an image of the file even though I have not provided a password to open it.  If I just try to open the encrypted file, Adobe asks for the password and will not show the information until the password is provided.  I cannot explain why Google Drive has access to the Adobe-encrypted files without a password, and bypasses all Adobe security features of the document.  Is there a way to prevent inappropriate information disclosure from an Adobe-protected file?
