arrow over the lower right corner of your timeline panel and drag to the right.
Can you please post your OS details and your monitor resolution? Also do you have a HiDPI display?
In case if you are on Windows and if you are using HiDPI display, please make sure that your Text Scaling is set to 100% in your Control Panel>Display settings
Yes, sure enough, that fixed it. I had set the "Change size of all items" to medium 125% and once I set that to small 100% the icons in the status line for the timeline became visible. Thanks very much!!
By the way, in case you are trying to do the same thing as me.
I wanted to import a sequence of graphics to create an animation and wanted to use onion skinning to get them positioned on the stage. Here is a better, one-click way to do it:
create html5 canvas (don't resize it yet).
First, import the images to the stage:
Menu: Import/import to stage...
( browse and select the first file in a sequence of consecutively numbered files).
Prompt says: "This file appears to be part of a sequence of images. Do you want to import all of the images in the sequence?"
Next, resize the stage:
click Match Options button
The document will be perfectly sized to match the images.
