    DownloadNetThing

    DigitalDesignMedia Level 1
      Hi
      I'm trying to download some files using downloadNetThing from a URL and I keep getting error 900. Does anyone know what exactly this means and is there a work around?
      I found this on adobe's site '900 File to be written to is read-only'
      I have tried downloading different files from different URLs and even different domains.
      Any ideas would be really appreciated.

      Thanks Jason

          Ok I finally solved this one...

          I didn't realize you have to specify the file name on the local side; I was giving the local path with out the file name.
          pNetID = downloadNetThing (" http://www.theurl.com/file.jpg", the moviePath & "file.jpg")

          I was using pNetID = downloadNetThing (" http://www.theurl.com/file.jpg", the moviePath)

          Cheers, Jason

            Is there any hint in the server's log? If the server says it did the right
            thing then it is likely the problem really is client-side. Did you give it a
            full path to download the file to?

            (Director's error messages don't necessarily correspond to the problem.)
