Unable to install flash player on Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10.2

Hi  I am trying to install Adobe Flash Player on my mac (Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10.2) but when I double click to open the file and start the installation Adobe quits unexpectedly and I cannot continue with it. I tried the other version available for my system but I get the same error. Could anyone help me with this issue?

We're aware of the Mac installer quitting unexpectedly and are working on a fix.  In the mean time, please use the offline installer posted at the bottom of the Installation problems | Flash Player | Mac page in the 'Still having problems' section.
