    Same layer - multiple masks.

      Sorry ..real basic question.

How does one have multiple masks on the same Layer?

eg. 3 window frames  in one image (layer) , each requiring  an "insert" ( from one layer).

          1. Select your layer
          2. Select the pen tool (letter g)
          3. Draw the first mask
          4. Set the first mask to subtract
          5. Draw the second mask
          6. Set the second mask to subtract
          7. Repeat as needed

          Another option

          1. Add a colored solid to your comp above the layer you want to mask
          2. Change the blend mode of the colored layer to multiply or overlay so you can see through it
          3. Select the colored layer that you can now see through
          4. Select the pen tool or other mask tool
          5. Draw your masks using the underlying layer as a guide
          6. Set the colored layer as an alpha inverted track matte for the layer you wish to mask

            Thank you Rick.

            Much appreciated.

            I got caught by "Subtract".

Logic was telling me  I needed to "Add"
