    iPhone 6 import issue

    scoutsbrother

      Lightroom 5 is not recognizing photos on my iPhone 6. Or rather, it recognizes they are photos, even has a grayed-out thumbnail, but it will not allow me to select those photos for import. I even imported them onto my desktop first, but Lightroom will still not recognize them as 'importable' pictures. Any ideas? I have a brand new iMac 5k running Yosemite 10.10.2, and Lightroom 5.7.1.

          Had this problem yesterday.  Workaround was;

          1.Import into Apple Photos

          2.Track down file made in photos

          3.Copy this folder onto desktop

          4.Import from there using LR.

          Worked fine, but very unsatisfactory having to waste time working this out.

            When you hold your mouse over one of these grayed-out thumbnails, is there a message that appears that says something like "This image has already been imported into Lightroom"?

            If so, then there's really no point in importing it again, it's already been imported and ready for you to use in the Library or Develop (or other) Module.
