I am working on an Indesign project, and I downloaded a free font. However, when I work on a different computer, the font won't show up because it is not installed at that computer. Now I know that you can't embed a font into indesign, but is there some way that I could save the font as a picture with a clear background and then place it into the indesign document? (I have access to photoshop and illustrator if i need to use those)
Thanks, ASAP responses VERY MUCH appreciated

You could try laying out the font in Illustrator, then converting to outlines and inserting this back into InDesign, this will sometimes work. Better suggestion is to use a font with permission, check the copy right on the font file I'd bet that it says that it has a 'Restricted Licence' and in that case your best bet is to find another font... it is not worth the trouble or the potential problems.
