    Lightroom 6

What has happened to Lightroom 6? When will it be, if it is going to be, released?

You didn't get your copy of Lightroom 6? It was recently released for 3 nano-seconds just moments ago. We are all now eagerly awaiting Lightroom 7. Version 6 is old news and of no interest.

This is a question that is regularly being asked on this form, if you used the sites search function it would have revealed that Adobe maintains a policy of not announcing release dates in advance. Anyone who knows is prohibited by nondisclosure agreements to say anything, and anything else is pure conjecture. Adobe did however state on January 21st that they "are hard at work on the next major release of Lightroom".

Adobe will release it when they are ready not a second before, you should use the search function to find out the latest information on future dates, we don't comment on speculation or condone it, this question has been asked before in the past it has hasn't yielded information on events occurring in the future yet hence asking again in weeks time is redundant because the answer will be the same indefinately.

LR6 is a mobile app only you have to wait for LR7 on desktop.

LR6 is rumoured to come out at the end of this month, Adobe decided to focus on mobile apps so that put back their schedule, and yes it is their fault since they can afford to scale for such things.
