Alternatives to custom font on exporting Indesign Epub to Kindle

      Hey All,

I've finally gotten my epub converting in KindlePreviewer to mobi and looking ok. But as many others have experienced, I've got problems with Kindle Previewer replacing the custom font with Times or Arial. I've tried both true top and open type fonts with no luck. I'm using proxima nova which everyone says is fairly standard.

Has anyone found some good alternatives? I really dont see how i can use the defauly font. It's a fixed layout book and it'll have horrible orphans and widows in the text. Unbearable! What's the point of fixed layout if you have to do that. The book is very heavy photographically, and I'm even considering rasterizing the whole thing.
