    Quadro FX 5600 Card compatible?

    fosterchen

I just ordered a Nvidia Quadro FX 5600 1.5GB Card for my Mac Pro (Early 2008), as it was the highest performance graphics card Apple had suggested for this generation of Mac Pro.

Will it work well with After Effects CS6?

      Thanks!

You could use that card for After Effects CS6. Just be aware that CUDA GPU acceleration (Ray-Tracer) will not work with that GPU as it is one of the very first CUDA-capable GPUs ever introduced. Its compute capability version is only version 1.0, which will not work at all with any of Adobe's products for CUDA GPU acceleration. Therefore, you must permanently lock both After Effects and Premiere Pro to the CPU-only (or software-only) mode in order to run properly.

In other words, you have just wasted your money on a GPU that Adobe programs cannot use.
