First time seeking out assistance here.
I've always been baffled that the adjustments that I make to my videos in AE renders in a very different quality.
So far, I've rendered this via Adobe Media Encoder in H.264 (max bitrate), DNXHD, H.264 Blu Ray, Cineform, with each render being very different to the preview.
Is the AE preview an accurate representation of the adjustments made to my footage and secondly, what can I do to export the same quality as being previewed?
Picture of my current project:
Source footage is BMCC > Prores LT
Export footage is H.264 (300 bitrate)
AE's preview is "accurate" but of course doesn't figure in specific Gamma shifts or chroma undersampling as used by many CoDecs just as it cannot figure in color tweaks in VLC. You have to learn this stuff and read up on color management. That's a burden that nobody can take off your shoulders and there simply is no magic one-fits-all solution.
