We have had Photoshop 7, then CS3, then CS6 on our 1 desktop PC and 1 laptop PC for years.  The desktop recently crashed and died.  We have replaced it with a new Dell XPS 8700 and need to reload CS6 on it.  I have the CS6 upgrade disk, but not any of the previous disks.  When I try to reload CS6 on the new PC, it is asking for a CS3 serial number.  Where do I get it?

It might be too late based on my own experience with CS3, but if you registered the software when you installed it then you might be able to find the CS3 serial number available in your Adobe account online in the Products section.  If you do not have the original disc (the S/N would be on the disc case) nor the email that might have provided the serial number if you purchased it as a download, then your only other option would be to contact Adobe Support thru chat and see if they can assist you with collecting the serial number.

Chat support - For the link below click the Still Need Help? option in the blue area at the bottom and choose the chat option...

Thanks, Ned! I took your suggestion and found the serial number I needed in my Adobe account. CS6 is up and running for us.
