Another issue I've been facing recently and just cannot fathom why is missing/weird font errors on printed PDFs.
I've created a PDF in InDesign that will be for digital distribution and print. The exported PDF (used the interactive PDF option) file looks good on screen but when I test print on my office laser printer the fonts come out all weird. Missing some letters, missing parts of letters, different weird symbols replacing some other letters. This file will be made available for people to print at home and needs to retain text as text so people can search the PDF for words etc.
Any idea what the issues would be and how to ensure the font prints correctly no matter where it's printed?
Once again, any advice would be highly appreciated.
Thanks and regards,
Are the botched parts ligatures like fi which might not being rendered correctly.
Try exporting as a print pdf and use the pdf/x-4 profile.
