    Export Doesn't function correctly

A user created a .PSD file in PhotoShop. I have the .PSD file, and open it in Fireworks, and I can see each layer. There are layers of images, and text, approximately 20 layers. I try to export this as a CSS layered HTML file + Images, but it always exports all layers as a single merged .gif file. What do I have to do to get it to export each layer as a seperate .gif and a seperate text element, defined with CSS?

I guess first thing you should do is creating slices for your image
objects. Next thing would be creating HTML slices for text. If you don't
know what it is, search the help file for "slices" and "HTML slices" - the
tools are quite simple and well described in Help.
