you might try closing the steam... i had to add ns.NetStream.close(nc); to my script to stop my flv from playing after it played to autoadvenced to the next movie... just a though... proble not to helpful
Thanks. I use the Sound object to stream mp3s. The stop() action doesn't stop Flash from loading streamed audio.
i don't think there's anything you can do to stop the download once it starts. i i tested this a year or two ago and found even deleting the sound object didn't stop the download.
i don't know if the flash 9 player handles this differently now.
Thanks. This is bad ...because if the user quickly clicks through the slides without waiting for each sound to complete the streaming process, Flash will continue to load multiple sounds in the background. This can slow down the player and cause unexpected delays.
Anyone knows of another method to play streamed audio in Flash without using the Sound Object? What about the Netstream class? Will it work with mp3s?
