Text from screencapture is illegible once rendered

I'm using Premiere Elements 11 to do videos which cut between talking head video and screencaptured video from a computer screen. The original screencapture from my computer is totally legible while editing, but as soon as it's rendered it gets all blurry and impossible to read.

Why does it do this? Is there some way to render it that will give me more crisp output?

What computer operating system is involved.

What are the properties of your source media? Where are these screen captures coming from?

What have you (manually) or the project (automatically) set as the project preset to match the properties of those source media?

What are the full details of your Premiere Elements 11 export...default settings or customizing preset under the Advanced Button/Video Tab of that preset?

Where are you having problems with clarity in the export - with faces or text or both?

Let us start here and then decide what next.
