Three steps. First, you can simply download the latest release using the LR6 direct links instead here:
Next, see this page where you can buy a LR6 standalone license, either Full or Upgrade (from a previous LR version):
You may need to change your region in the lower left of that page, if it doesn't switch automatically to your country.
...and then finally just follow these instructions to permanently activate the product/trial installed on your system:
That will convert the Lightroom CC subscription version on your computer to a Lightroom 6 perpetual licensed copy.
Hope that helps!
Just post back if you have any further issues.
I'm not interested in the CC version either and never will be.
Is there still an educational licences for the stand alone version of LR6?
I could only find the educational version of LR CC and the upgrade version of LR6.
I'd be grateful if someone could let me know whether teachers/students can still get the stand alone version for a discounted price.
Well, it was unclear at first, but Adobe says there is no Student/Teacher Edition of LR6 standalone...
However, they will give upgrade pricing from previous LR student versions.
Thanks, ProDesignTools for the information!
Lame move from Adobe, time to look for alternatives...
