I have Windows 8
Are you still getting Blank screen , even after deleting opm.db file?
it says "the action can not be completed because the file is open in service for adobe desktop apps."
Press Ctrl ,Shift and Esc buttons all 3 together , it will open Task Manager .
Click on "More Details" option.
Then end all Adobe related tasks like Creative Cloud , CoreSync, Armsvc, Acrotray ....etc .
Once you had ended all Adobe related tasks.
Try to delete opm.db , it should work.
Then launch Creative Cloud desktop app and check.

may I ask you one more question?
Sure , please feel free to ask.
ok I have the the older creative suite version CS6 should I uninstall the older versions now that I have the creative cloud. I don't know if having so many large programs will slow my computer.
You can have all the version installed on same computer .
However , if you are concerned about Performance and Disk storage , you may uninstall the older version.
But I'd like to inform you that , if you are using any third party plugins for CS 6 version , it may not work with latest version Apps like CC 2014 .
If no plugins, you may uninstall CS 6 from Control Panel.
Stephanie , as you had purchased Creative Cloud subscription , you can install CS 6 from Creative Cloud app only , just incase , if you wish to install in future. You don't even need to enter serial number , it will be activated by signing in just like CC Apps.
You are most welcome
