Didn't happen on this end, I have both products.
You do have a backup right?

Lightroom 5 & 6/CC both are individual applications and can be installed simultaneously, unless you don't need them.
In this case, would suggest you to Back up catalog and re-install LR CC directly from CC desktop app and then check.
Let me know how it goes.
I deleted Lightroom 5 and have CC on the creative cloud app, its located in the application folder and desktop but when i click to open nothing happens....

Thanks Arpit - i have since spoken to Adobe and sorted the issue out - it was as simple as signing out of CC and signing back in and all synch and all works. Thanks for all your help Cheers Gary
