This method was developed by one of my colleagues and it was
created for use with webhelp where both graphic and text links work
OK. Subsequently it was amended to work with chm files and this
problem does only occur with compiled help.
that I always give credit to those involved in writing the scripts.
To my embarrassment, I have not done so on this occasion so I am
not sure if it was my colleague or someone else on this forum who
made the changes.
Unfortunately I wll be out of the office for about ten days
and the developer only visits the office occasionally so it could
be a while before I can talk to him about this. Also, unless it is
a quick fix, I doubt he will be able to look at it for a while.
Until then I can only suggest that you create a graphic of
the text you want!
That's what I was thinking - a graphic with the text! Links
to Word and pdf files in folders inside and outside the chm file's
folder seem to work fine; this was the only thing I could not get
to work. It's still a really cool method, though. Thanks!
