Thanks but apparently the CS6 8.1.0 update is ONLY for Creative Cloud subscribers, which I am not.
I did update the 8.02 though

So far so good.
However since it was sporadically throughout the day that I would have InDesign free up it will take a week before I can 100% conclude success.
