As above, I'm unable to start Lightroom 6 (standalone) after installation. I'm able to launch but I got stuck at splash screen (the lightroom 6 logo) with bezel not responding error. Would be grateful for any help, thanks so much!
Just some follow-up, i'm using Windows 7 (x64). i've spoke with adobe chat and I was told to create a new windows administrator account and re-install LR using this new account.
This worked for me, I'm able to access LR 6 successfully using the newly created administrator account. I tried to follow-up with another query - what fixes can I implement to my current user account so that I can access LR 6 using this account (and not the new windows user account). Unfortunately, I was told that Adobe chat does not support LR 6 and I'm directed to ask my queries here.

I had same problem, read in forum that downloading and activating desktop CC App made it work. Why CC app necessary for NON CC version?? Ask Adobe, but it worked for me.
