Unable to get render farm (Render Engines) to work.
I've followed the online tutes, but no joy. Can anyone walk me through it?
My work station is a Mac Pro running OS X 10.10.2, and AE CC2014.
I've installed the render engines on two PC's on my network. There are able to see and write to the watch folder on my mac. I have correctly placed the "ae_render_only_node.txt" in the appropriate folder.
I collect the AE project to the watch folder, but nothing happens.
Please advise.
Thanks,
JW
Typo:
They (the PC's) are able to see and write to the watch folder on the mac.
Other steps I followed was to launch AE on each of the PC's, which involved signing in to CC. While in AE, setting the watch folder to the one on the mac, then logging out of CC and quitting AE.
My understanding is that with this setup, the AE render node should automatically launch when a project is saved to the watch folder.
I am curious to know how the render node is able to detect anything if it is not launched. Launching it requires that I sign into CC, which then turns the app into a full blown AE, not the render node.
Please explain.
Thanks
Seriously? No-one has any insights?
I have correctly placed the "ae_render_only_node.txt" in the appropriate folder.
I had the same issue. I finally took out the .txt out of the file name and that got it working for me.
