why don't my programs show up after downloaded?

i was able to download CS6 to new computer and went to "adobe set-up", typed in serial and does not show up in my computer as desktop options or under programs. I have Windows 8.1, but I use it like 7.

check your program files and program files (x86) directories.

if cs6 is not installed, install it.
