John, would you happen to know if I could install my CD copy of Premier 8 in parallel with premier 13 on another location on my new computer to download all the videos I still have on my DV camera or would they "fight" each other. Trying to use the speed and power of the new computer for my downloads - the old one is slow and memory is short - any thoughts or would they fight each other. If not I'll try the sites you mentioned (just leary of downloading stuff from the internet.
Thanks, by the way for the answer and the reference to the manual, I guess I should learn to read better.
I have Premiere Elements 8.0/8.0.1 and Premiere Elements 13/13.1 on the same Windows 7 64 bit computer. No conflicts between the two.
As always, use one program at a time. And, with 8.0/8.0.1, if you used it before, remember
a. work from the 8.0.1 Update of the program
b. work with the automatic Background Rendering and AutoAnalzyer disabled.
Just in case note...Premiere Elements 13/13.1 does not support Windows XP, VIsta, or OSX 10.7.
