So, I've been using the face detection scan, and I'm impressed with its accuracy overall.
However, the new "People" view is seriously broken. While browsing the "Unnamed people" section, if I add a name to a photo an then tab off or click out of the text window, the window jumps from the current location (eg. in the middle of 7000 images) back up to the very top of the screen, to the "Named people" section. This is heinous behaviour while a user is trying to browse through 7000 images and add names, so I'm hoping someone will be able to say that this is a configurable feature that I can turn off in preferences. (Although I don't think it is, as I've looked and can't find it)
Far less worrisome, but still annoying, it frequently takes 3-4 clicks to get the "?" label on an unnamed photo into an editable state. I click it, and the edit window opens and immediately closes again.
OS: OS X (10.9.5 Mavericks)
Processor: 3.06 GHz Intel Core i3
Memory: 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
I also find it sometimes takes 3 or 4 clicks to make a label editable. Makes the FR very tedious.
OS X 10.10.3
It's user interface behaviors like this that makes me think Adobe pushed it out the door too soon.
Whole heartedly agree. Jumping up from the unnamed to the named sections everytime you confirm or edit a name is infuriating. I had come to the forums to seek what I had hoped was an existing solution or preference box I had to check off.
