I recently purchased a Nikon D-610 and would very much like to use the raw files that it produces. I am using Photoshop CS5 and cannot update Camera Raw, which would be nice, since it would recognize the D-610. Looking for a solution, I came across the discussion in this forum about converting files to dng format using the DNG Converter. I downloaded the converter and attempted to convert the camera's raw files but the tool tells me it doesn't see any files on the card. I know they're there! Why do I continue to get this error message? Is there no way to get around the upgrade to Photoshop CC, which I don't particularly want to do?
The DNG Converter works on a FOLDER not files, so you won't see the files, just single-click on the foldername of the folder that contains the files and set the destination then click Convert.
Thank you! Your answer told me what I needed to know.
