I'm getting this error from Curves and Levels, depending on which one I turn off. I actually checked your site first, but your solution is from 2011 and the settings you say to change no longer apply. Any other ideas? I've made sure my drivers are up to date, but the only thing I can think of is I'm using the GTX Titan, which I'm not sure if it's officially supported. For now my work-around is to use a plugin called Colorista for color correction instead of curves or levels. If anyone has any other suggestions (Adobe?) I'd be happy to hear them. Thanks!
Colorista is causing the crash now too. My new work-around is soloing the offending layer, which has Colorista on, but for some reason doesn't produce the error when soloed. I'm rending that out and compositing it back into my main comp, which works for now, but definitely not ideal.
Just making sure for trivial stuff. you could be supersized this is often the case:
1. it is 13.8.1 version right?
2. reset your preferences: Ctrl+Alt+Shift right after you launch the app - you will get a dialog to reset your preferences, click O.K
