Have you looked at the Audio Effects under the fx Effects?
A description of them can be found in the Adobe document on Premiere Elements Effects Reference.
Please use the Show All in the link to see the full list of effects which include the audio section.
You can also looks at the free audio editor Audacity for noise removal possibilities.
I am strictly an Elements Windows user and have not used Audacity on Mac. I have on Windows.
Please review and consider and then we can discuss this further.
Thanks, that's very encouraging. I will start experimenting and let you know about progress.
Your help is much appreciated. PE's Audio Effects really look as though they could answer my problem. I've experimented and already there is a detectable improvement even though I obviously need to get in some more practice.
Sadly, it appears that Audacity is not available for Macs.
Many thanks again,
Thanks for the follow up with news of your progress using the Premiere Elements audio effects. Sounding good.
The link that I posted for free Audacity for Mac states that this should be the link for an Audacity Mac.
Please explain when you write "....it appears that Audacity is not available for Macs." As said, I am strictly an Elements Windows user.
Somehow I missed your Audacity link entirely. I went straight to Apple's App Store and they don't have a listing for it.
I have now used the link you kindly provided and have successfully downloaded Audacity onto my Mac. I shall start experimenting shortly.
Sorry for the confusion but thanks again for your help and advice.
