Flash Installer Quits on OS 10.10.3

Using MacBook Pro Mid 2010 with a fresh install of Yosemite. The first thing I tried to install was Flash Player. I downloaded "AdobeFlashPlayer_17_ta_install.dmg" and during install received the message, "Adobe Flash Player Installer quit unexpectedly." I closed all windows/apps before installing. After a few tries running the installer, it stopped giving an error message, and now the icon bounces a couple times and then disappears. I tried logging out and then in as a guest user, then installing the standalone "install_flash_player_osx.dmg" file.  I again received the error message, "Adobe Flash Player Installer quit unexpectedly." I logged back into primary admin account, and tried standalone installer, and received same error message. Since I have not successfully installed Flash yet, I don't have the Flash control panel. In the Security control panel, I have "Allow apps downloaded from anywhere." In my console, I have several crash logs for "PluginProcess_yyyy_mm_dd".

Any advice appreciated!
