Is there any way to make the clips on my timeline allways stay exactly where I put them? To stop them moving around when I edit, move, shorten/lengthen or time-stretch other clips?
It is very important to me that they allways stay in place. Timing is important. (making music videos)
PS: I have tried holding down ctrl but it seems to unconsistent. and how do I apply that to time-stretch?
It depends on which version of the program you have, Otto. Version 13 does things a little different than earlier versions.
But, for the most part, if you old down the Ctrl (or Cmd on a Mac) key as you add clips, the other clips will not "ripple". You can also right-click on any clip and select Delete (rather than Delete and Close Gap) and your clip will be deleted without affecting the other clips on the timeline.
And, as I said, if you're using version 13, there are some other tricks.
