If its grey you normally have to press enter to finish the line of code, or it means that you have to carry on building the line of code using the snippets.
Hope this helps
Thank you Robyn, well the thing is you either have to finish by selecting the snippets as you said
or you can just select the stage and press enter if you want the "sym.play();" for instance.
I was trying to press Enter without selecting the stage as most tutorials I saw up to now didn't have the snippets implemented version, and just couldn't figure out why it wouldn't add!
You could always type out the code you need instead of using the snippets
I am also having this problem. It is frustrating. As soon as I start to type the snippet disappears. Also, I can't copy/paste.
I don't understand either why every tutorial shows the code automatically popping into the box.
Check out the screenshot below, you should be able to add the code by:
1.select playback(or any other group)
4.having selected at least your stage press enter to confirm the code.
In this case pressing enter will insert <<sym.play();>> if I selected my "Scrolling elements" on the right it would add <<sym.getSymbol("Scrolling_Elements").play();>>
