Lightroom 5 does not know about any edits you make in Lightroom CC.
Any transferring of edits would have to be performed manually, via XMP, although I would recommend you re-design your process. If you are attempting to do "real" edits on "real" photos but you are just testing Lightroom CC, then don't. Do the "real" work in Lightroom 5 until you are committed to purchasing LR CC/LR 6. Use LR CC/LR 6 on photos that have little to no importance, until you are committed to purchasing/upgrading, and then start doing "real" work in LR CC/LR 6.
Yes. You are working on different catalogs and LR does not touch the original photos. If you want your corrections you need to "bake" them in using an export.
Another option to try for you is to save it to a metadata sidecar file (Ctrl+S) and read the changes from file after changing the version.
