I really need an answer to my question. I know how to do this in Flash but I wanted to make the banners mobile compliant so i am doing it in Edge. Seems like it should be an easy fix but I can't find the solution.
I wish it were that simple.
Each image has an action applied to the image. The images are not symbols.:
But the only link that works for ALL three images is the first one. That is why I am confused. I don't know if I need to change Z-index or something because unlike Flash I can insert a blank keyframe which basically removes one of the images for that part of the timeline.
You can do that too. When the new image loads in add this
You could make a variable in compositionReady called zIndex like this:
zIndex = 20;
and each time you call the z-index code do this
zIndex++; // or zIndex + 1;
So each time the z-index will go higher.
I hope this helps.
Thanks but this is too technical for me. I think I really can't wrap my head around how Edge works. I know CSS and HTML but I can't connect how the Edge interface generates it because it looks like a Flash timeline. What I want to do was so simple in Flash but I can't turn on and off elements like I did there so this is confusing. I understand in concept what you wrote but no idea how to implement it.
Send me what you've got so far I'll do it for you.
cool thx. how do i do that?
Upload it to a file sharing website or something.
thanks so much. i'll look at what you did for next time.
