Thanks. I've since checked my emails carefully and I have confirmation notification, from firstname.lastname@example.org, of the purchase. It seems that the problem is specifically connected to having an active Download Link appear in my account area. It is the absence of this download link that is proving to be troubling.
Does this confirmation notification contain a serial number? Did you check your Junk mail folder?
For the most part, if you are having trouble with a purchase, you need to sort this out with Adobe. People in this forum can't really help (unless its one of those rare cases where an Adobe employee sees this message).
1. No, it doesn't include a serial number.
2. Adobe have not provided me, as yet, with a download link for the software.
I need to download the software and then enter my serial number to activate the product. I cannot download the software.
Similarly, I am so frustrated with Adobe's Support facility that after several days of searching the site I still cannot find the "Live Chat" for Lightroom problems. As this is inpart related to a payment process, it seems that Chat is the only valid option, but I just can't find it. On top of this, my Account is in Germany and German is not my mother tongue, so finding the right link to click to gewt the right support for Adobe Lightroom 6 is proving to be almost futile.
But thanks for your response, it does feel good to have someone on the other end of this help me try to find a solution. Much appreciated.
But I gave a link that takes you to Live Chat.
Also, isn't there some method of contacting Adobe listed in this confirmation notification e-mail?
Yes, thank you for the link. It take's one to the start of the Contact Support process. However once entering that Labyrinth, well, I've explored it already a few time with the results listed above. The Email includes links to the same staging point.
I have no trouble getting to Live Chat starting at that link
Seriously? Look I appreciate you engaging in this discussion, I really do, however your current reply seems faintly disjointed from what I've been discussing up to now.
Statement of Problem
Your initial recommended solution
which links to here
and an overview of the Support Options
However, when attempting to navigate through the QA Form all answers so far seem to lead to a FAQ-type page with a question asking Was this answer helpful? Unfortunately no "Live Chat" as you called it.
The links in the email list the following
which results in a 404 Page not found error
Now, I appreciate you input into this situation. and since I've have made every attempt to be absolutely clear about the problem that I need to fix, and the issues I'm having with contacting "Live Chat," if you have "no problem" getting to the Chat area for discussing issues related to gaining access to the download link for the application, then it would be very much appreciated if you could provide a direct link that goes to this fabled, Live Chat.
I really do wish you all the best and hope you have a wonderful day.
If the problem is that certain links aren't available in your country, I doubt I can help with that.
But I think the problem is you are clicking on Creative Cloud instead of clicking on Lightroom on the first screen. From there you click on Purchase Problems (or some similar words)
