2. Re: When I import photos to lightroom CC I get a message Some import operations were not performed. The following files were not imported because they could not be read.
ManiacJoe May 2, 2015 6:53 PM (in response to Arts)Were you just importing those two files so that the import as a 100% failure?
Or, were lots of photos imported successfully with just those two having problems?
Are you using a card reader or directly attaching the camera?

Arts May 3, 2015 3:16 AM (in response to ManiacJoe)Its a 100% failure. I was trying to import 37 photos all failed. I can still import into Lightroom 5. I also can import into Lightroom CC on my other Mac. I tried importing from different cards, my other 7100 and my 5300 same problem. I have tried every combination of card reader, camera and computer I have. The only only time the message shows up is when I try to import into Lightroom CC on my 27 in Mac. Thanks Art

dj_paige May 3, 2015 4:13 AM (in response to Arts)"Could not be read" means that the folder listed in the Import Dialog Box Destination section on the right does not have WRITE permission.
So, in Lightroom, look in the Import dialog box and determine what folder is shown in the Destination section on the right. Then go to that exact folder in your operating system and change the permissions to WRITE.

Arts May 3, 2015 4:40 AM (in response to dj_paige)Could you give me a walk trough on how do that? Destination seems to be Mac hard drive. How do I find it in my OP system?

dj_paige May 3, 2015 5:56 AM (in response to Arts)As I'm not a Mac person, I don't have the ability to walk you through. I do know that if you go to your favorite search engine and type in "Change Permissions Mac" (without the quotes), you will find the instructions you need.

Arts May 3, 2015 9:25 AM (in response to dj_paige)I checked permissions. I changed "everyone" to read and write. System and admin were already set to read and write. Must be something else I'll keep looking for a answer. Thanks for your help

dj_paige May 3, 2015 11:26 AM (in response to Arts)If that didn't work, then you didn't change the permissions on the proper folder. So, show me a screen capture of your Lightroom Import Dialog box, specifically the Destination section; and also show me a screen capture of the permissions on the folder specified under Destination.
