You can move almost everything in Element 3D but to do that your model should have each part that you wish to move on separate layer. If you don't have that you should open that model in some 3D software (C4D, 3Ds, Blender) and put those parts on separate layers. You can find more on that here:
Element 3D doesn't have bones, pose morphs or any advanced deformers as would be required for character animation and even in full 3D packages animating something organic is a discipline itself that takes time to master. you won't get any quick results if you are totally inexperienced with any form of 3D.
Mylenium - of course that Element 3D is not a full 3D soft and you will not get any natural looking deformation on joints but you can move those and it will be ok - bu f.eg. for robot, machine model not for more natural/human like models. But you are right - if someone doesn't know anything about 3D models it will be really hard to explain how to move model on in any software.
