we are starting a project to render videos for our customers. To better distribute the workload we are using Hyper-V Virtual Machines where Adobe After Effect is working on.
To further enhance the generation speed we thought about using a nvidia quattro 4000 card, which is passed to the virtual machine by Remote FX.
The CUDA Package was installed successfully and i can also see the driver for the remote FX Card. But this seems to be the problem.
Adobe after effects is not recognizing this card as a valid CUDA Card.
Is there a possibility to use the CUDA enhancements on virtual machines or a trick to get adobe recognize the RemoteFX Driver as the quattro card?
Many thanks for an answer.
What's not there, is not there. AE would have to have specific code to actually address those virtualized CUDA features.
If you're using AE Creative Cloud, the answer is "no".
Except for a few third-party plugins, CUDA is for all intents and purposes dead in AE. Adobe has chosen another 3D route, C4D Lite which comes with AE CC, and C4D which you buy separately, but guess what? It works great with AE.
Ok i don´t think there will be other answers. This is the same i had read through the internet. We will try to use a physical server. Many thanks for the answers.
