Can I transfer Lightroom files from iMac to Macbook?

I'm a dummy, but I can't figure out how to get my files from Lightroom on my iMac to my new Macbook Pro.  I have a Creative Cloud subscription, so I thought I could just synch it with Lightroom mobile, but I guess that doesn't work between computers?  I'm hoping I'm missing a very obvious solution lol.  Thanks in advance for any help!  :-)

The easiest solution is to pass them across by copying to and from an external hard drive. Makes sure they go into the same location on the Macbook Pro as the iMac (with the computer drive having the same name).

You could also turn in file sharing and connect between the computers on your home network and copy them that way, but it'll be much slower.

You used to be able to turn on the laptops in Target Disk mode, where it acts as an external drive, but I've only done that with firewire, not thunderbolt.
