Adobe Photoshop Sketch allows you to import or open from Creative Clouds files that are .png or .jpeg format. If you can export your .pdf as a .png or ,jpeg to the Creative Cloud then can you can import through the Images/CC MyFiles option in Sketch this file.
Hope this helps,
Adobe Sketch allows me to import pdf files also. This is not the problem. The problem is that i cannot manage to put an pdf attachment from an email to Creative Cloud, so I can then import it to Adobe Sketch on an Ipad. If I put it first on a computer (copy the file to Creative Cloud Files folder) then on the Ipad I can see it in Creative Cloud files. On the Ipad, I can only upload files in creative Cloud just from Videos and/or Photos folder. But I cannot save my pdf file either Videos or Photos folder.
So basically this is a Creative Cloud issue, as the problem is how to save on an Ipad an pdf attachment to Creative Cloud Files, using an Ipad ONLY.
I love my iPad but native apps are missing good PDF file handling. As far as making changes, and emailing PDFs back to someone, you can do it from your iPad with two Adobe Apps (free):
I found editing PDFs on it pretty good if you use Adobe Acrobat DC.
Plus you can create some pretty rudimentary scribbles on the PDFs
To fill in an existing document try this out:
Adobe Fill & Sign (has a signature sketch feature, so you don't need Sketch for signing documents)
You can even use it to take the photo of the document (sounds like it saves a step too).
The Acrobat documents aren't in the same universe as anything (even Apple's own show up on iBooks)
But these two Adobe apps are really good for signing, simple editing, markup, and even page reordering.
There are a lot of elements that would be great to have in upcoming versions, maybe one of the PDF forums has a better answer.
Unfortunately, for some reason "Document Cloud" and "CreativeCloud" are two separate servers. It might be a security thing.
I don't think there's a way to get those .pdfs to CreativeCloud without the aid of a laptop/desktop.
my penny on this question. I start from a point that the file is easily traceable. Like a sketch for a logo or something.
The pdf arrives on an ipad, right? So open the pdf and take a screenshot of the file while it is open (that is done by clicking simultaneously the sleep button on top and the home button on the screen on your ipad). Then you will have your PDF saved in your camera roll as a picture.
Once on camera roll, open adobe sketch then and use use the icon to import an image (second icon on the left, on the sketch menu, it looks like a picture with two mountains and the sun). Resize on screen and work on it tracing.
Now I might be giving you a very naive solution, but the only way I could find to solve your issue if you really must work on iPad only
So "naive" and simple, yet exactly what I was searching for.
Don't need to thank me, my pleasure I could be helpful here. Enjoy the tool and stay creative!
