I need help please. I am trying several times to export a large InDesign file (64 pages) to a PDF. The export always failed. My students checked links and found a couple of png's and changed them to pdf's. They've since had to leave and I, the less savvy English teacher, am still trying to look for problems.
I tried repackaging the file and it, along with the original file, says it is at 91%. Is that why the file isn't exporting?
It's possible there is a corrupted file (probably a graphic) in your document. You might try this troubleshooting technique:
(1) Export the first half of the document to PDF. If it exports successfully, you know those pages are OK.
(2) Export the second half of the document. If it succeeds, you could use Acrobat to combine the two. If it fails, break that group of pages into two halves and export each part.
(3) Gradually you can see which page is failing. On that page, try eliminating graphics one by one until you see the one with the problem.
Thank you!!! I'll try this.
